DIY Gallery Wall

At last! After months and months of looking for the right frames, choosing the right photos, photoshopping them, and hanging it all up, our photo gallery wall is finally complete! Our living room looks so much homier now that we actually have something hanging on the walls, and this project definitely got me out of my DIY funk.

A friend gave me the idea to display photos of the places we've been--this gives the wall the personal touch that I love. So what better pics to show than our beautiful honeymoon photos shot by my hubby himself?! With the help of my favorite photoshop-expert buddy, we turned these photos into art!

I decided here that I wanted the frames to have the "neat & orderly" look (although I might add to it later on). To hang the frames, I cut sheets of paper to the size of the frames and we measured exact distances from each frame to create this look. A few attempts of trial and error later, and this gallery wall was born!

  1. I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this!!! I'm such a travel lover and this is such a beautiful way to showcase the places you've been. I've seen a lot of variations of this on Pinterest but I really love this one! I love how you put the the name of each city. And it doesn't hurt that you had such great shots! I want to attempt something like this with pics from our honeymoon in Italy and the two big trips since then (hawaii and paris). Thank you for sharing!!! Congrats! Looks so great!
