Honeymoon Cruise: Port #1 Monte Carlo, Monaco

It rained all day in Monte Carlo, and on top of that it was a national holiday, everything was closed, and France was still on strike. Thankfully, we did research before our trip and knew we had to book a shore excursion in order to get a way to tour the French Riviera (even taxis weren't available!). Our tour took us through Nice, the little village of Eze, Cannes (where are all the glitz and glamour is), St. Paul de Vence, and Monte Carlo.

I was excited for Cannes. We saw where they do the whole Film Festival set-up and where all the celebrities vacation and shop. Even in the rain, Cannes looks like a million bucks!

St. Paul de Vence was probably my favorite in this area. I had never heard of this place. It's a little art village. You walk up and down these cobblestone alleys and go from art gallery to art gallery admiring all of the French art. It was beautiful!

Monte Carlo was also really nice. We saw it at night with all the pretty lights from the city and the yachts. Our tour guide pointed out the area where Grand Prix takes place and the Grand Casino was just a few steps from the ship. We also saw the beautiful cathedral where Princess Grace got married...so dreamy!
