Book Report: Gone Girl
It seemed that everyone I follow on the blogosphere was reading Gone Girl (even Lauren Conrad had it on her Book Club!), so I had to give it a try. I also got my bestie to read it along with me too! I rate Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn as one of the best books I've read this year so far. After reading Fifty Shades of Grey, I realized how much better the writing is in Gone Girl and how much I appreciate quality twisted stories. The crazier, the better!
Without giving too much away, Gone Girl is about a happy marriage that takes a turn for the worse. It's sneaky and smart and left me in shock time after time. It was another audio book so listening to the characters made it much more interesting. The narrators seemed weird and robotic at first, but after the first couple of chapters I was hooked.
I completely recommend it if you like a twisted story. As a matter of fact, I'm definitely going to continue on the Gillian Flynn bandwagon and read her other creepy novels. You with me? :)

Wow, I'm so glad you posted about this. I just finished reading it and was writing a similar blog post! You're so right about the improved writing and that it is a page turner, but wow, there are NO commendable characters in this book! It was very twisted and I kinda hated the ending. lol. I feel I need to read something more uplifting next before I dive into more Gillian Flynn!
